The motor could almost be a throwaway to do an electric conversion.
but the body is dubious. and in reality I'm getting lazier.
While there are those who question the feasibility of that statement, it's true.

letting the 67 MK II go today was tough. it brought good not crazy money.
But I think I want to make a run at the SL63.

The spridget's have never been big money cars and I don't think they will be anytime soon so you will probably always have the chance to find one relatively cheaply.
There is a 59 bugeye with a 1275 motor and disc brakes on vtcraigslist for 10,750.

The SL65 certainly took off at the last minute.
The SLK556 did well too but no dice at 13,500 so much for a cheap pickup.
With the nose damage the '03 SL55 has gotten priced out of viability.
and then there the new player in the game a 98 sl600.
part of me would like to have a v12... I love the style but... having a hard time getting excited.
