iPhone 4S
Well, at least I never misplace my wall phone. I know someone else...I won't mention any names...who is always misplacing his cell phone.
I told him that I never lose my cell phone. It is always right in my purse. The best way to never misplace it is to never use it.
I like my landline muuuuuuch better than my cellphone. I notice that people cannot seem to enjoy ANYTHING anymore because they're constantly talking or texting on their cellphones. We went to the boat show today and all around us there were cellphones jingling, jangling, beeping and clacking and people were sitting at tables in the restaurant yammering on their phones about nothingness (oh, I'm eating the best chicken salad and I found this or that at the shop and the boats are sooo cute). Oh, please. It isn't business, its just insane! I carry my nice little samsung with a pullout keyboard with me when I'm out in case of a real emergency . . . not to report on what I'm having for lunch. I really understand that folks need a good means of communication in order to conduct business. But really, do you need to conduct business 24/7? I'm totally on board with Sue and Lainey.
Did all of you upgrade your iPhones, iPads and iPods to iOS5 yet? I did yesterday. It's a four hour download, but it's a real easy install.
The upgrade has some nice features, but it's more evolutionary and less revolutionary than Apple says. Still, it's worth doing, I think.
What are you waiting for?

These are the only apples in our house.

I don't even have an ipod. I use a walkman.

PS I much prefer using my landline for phone calls. My cell phone reception in my house is just "so so". I get annoyed with calls that keep breaking up.
FWIW, many folks think land lines are only for

You are too funny, Sue. I have not gotten rid of my landline yet, although I'm always thinking about it. The +1 can't quite understand why I haven't.
Nostalgia? I don't use it for long distance at all.

They sold 4 million iPhones in 3 days!
Footnote: Turns out the v9.2 of iPhoto I loaded was '11 iPhoto. I spoke with Apples tech support and they said the earlier issues people were having have been resolved. Time will tell but it loaded fine. So I guess I'll install Lion.

Unbelievable isn't it?
As I said before, the Apple store in my local mall had a line outside with rope aisle dividers in the mall. These people were waiting to get in just to order the phone. There were Apple employees out in the mall recording the names of the people on line on their iPads so that each one would get his or her turn to go into the store. The store was jammed. I wanted to go in just to play with the phones on display, but I didn't want to wait on line.
Looking at Apple and the Apple stores it's hard to believe that there is a recession going on.

Mine was delivered Friday but I didn't set it up until last night. I like it. I'm glad I'm back in the Apple fold.
As for the land line, I dumped mine several years ago. The only calls I got were from tele-marketers and peddlers.
