I vote for the person that I think can do the job the best regardless of party affiliation.

I'm registered Independent. I feel the same way. I do however wish for the day, when I can really vote FOR someone rather than AGAINST someone.

And Patricia, I agree. Politics is fine where it is. If one wants to join in, they have the option.

Same here. I'm a registered Independent voter with slightly left of center tendencies.
We also, like Lainey, have party rules. No discussion of gun control, religion or politics.... EVER...!!!!.

I learned some things in the forum and have enjoyed many of the cartoons. From what I've seen I don't think anyone ever changes anyone's mind. Seems like a place to vent rather than change minds. I will probably visited in a couple years for the next big go-around, if just for grins to see the mud slinging. As for now, I am sick of the tv ads, lawn signs, talk shows, and anything else dealing with political landscape which changes daily.
