Default The joy of touring

I spent a few wonderful days driving in NewHampshire this summer. First off, nothing beats the pleasure of the top down "being there" feeling. Seeing and hearing the surroundings is awesome! Secondly, the fun factor of the S2k is worth the price of admission.

I spent a few wonderful days driving in NewHampshire this summer.
I did that last summer (unfortuately before I got my "S") but had a great time exploring the White Mountains area. Weather was perfect and we explored a lot of covered briges, waterfalls, classic hotels and several neat little small towns. Of course there are not many big towns in NH anyway. It was really nice to sleep with the windows open and temps in the 50's in July. We loved it!

Oh yes, and one of my best memories of that trip was some guy in a Silverstone
at V-TEC as he went by me

There is no substitute for open air, top down driving. Nothing even comes close.

Touring with the top down is one of my favorite activities. You don't need to go fast to enjoy it. You just need to open your eyes, take the top down and let the sun in.

NH is a great state to just drive around...went there for a few days in early Aug...However the wife was on a shopping mission, and we were in the "rainy season" then so we went in our Focus that trip.

How right you are! We did a trip to New Hampshire and Maine last month. Found a much more enjoyable route than I95, etc. Drove the Mt. Washington auto road. Spent a few days in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It was a blast. I can also highly recommend Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway - a beautiful, leisurely drive from Shenandoah National Park to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We did that last summer. I'm trying to post a couple of pics from that trip on the appropriate thread in our new forum.

Last year for our anniversary the wife and I took a road trip in the S2.
It was the best trip ever. We had SUCH a great time.

We drove from the SF Bay Area through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, part of Idaho,
Montana, up into Canada over to Vancouver Island, Washington, Oregon and back to the Bay Area.

18 days and around 6,000 miles. Saw so many beautiful sights and day and night top down driving.

Topless road trips are the best you see everything you feel part of the environment.
