So the terrorists have now captured 6more truck drivers threatening to behead one every 72 hours until all the coalition leave Irag. This following the release of the Filipino truck driver. On TV the 6 truck drivers stand behind three terrorist reading off their campaign in front of a camera. Here's the question, there's 6 of you, you know your country may not come rescue you. At this point, if you were one of the six, wouldn't the 6 of you bum rush the speaker or do something rather than stand there to wait your death?

 

Probably some more bad people off camera.

 

I don't believe I would wait to be beheaded. I'd rather die trying to escape. Of course I'm saying this sitting here safe and sound behind my computer--who knows what I would really do.

 

A "PERFECT" example of why one should NEVER negotiate with terrorist! The Philippine government gave in for ONE hostage and now there are SIX!!!! Hello??? It is easy to say sitting here in the comfort of my own home but if no one ever gave in there would be no point in taking hostages and people would stop doing it!

Like the people on Flight 93 (11 Sep 01) I would be figuring out a "let's roll" plan. I know that people say that one would not know how they react under that type of stressful situation. I agree that some people would be frozen into in-action. I am not one of those types of people. I have been in life threatening situations (involving being on the wrong end of a weapon more than once in my life. It makes me think very clearly and quickly. Thankfully.
