....you know what ralper would tell you to do to solve THAT problem

I bought a kayak from a friend. It is an older model, Acadia 12.5 by Perception. I will use the foam with straps to tie down to my SUV's roof. I am looking forward to picking it up. Thanks for all your help.

Well, I went out to a Kayak Meet Up today in Williamsburg and had a blast. I took my plastic tub, Perception 12.5 in my SUV with stern or bow whichever sticking out like a sore thumb with rear gate half closed.
Anyhow, it was a lot of fun. I think I really like the Eddyline Fathom LV. I realized my Perception was not as fast as some of the other kayaks on this outing but whatever I lacked, I made up for with furious paddling. Our group leader showed me his paddle which was basically feather like in weight. I think it was carbon fiber composition.
I think I am going to enjoy kayaking a great deal. Another person brought out his inflatable kayak which was quite impressive. The problem was it is much harder to paddle than rigid kayak platform. Anyway, he paddled quite laboriously and enjoyed the scenery as well. Kayaking can be quite exhausting. After I came back, I ate then slept for several hours. Over all, I had a great time.
Before soon, I think I am going to get another kayak. I may be looking at Craigslist frequently.
