^ What material was the kayak?

I bet those were dolphins, not porpoises.

For a sense of scale, here's a shot of our kayaks when we were getting ready to bring them home. They're still wrapped in their kayak condoms for the trip.

Yellow in color. Hard plastic I would say. Ordinary fare I'm sure; I've seen them in outdoor stores. Yeh, Dolphins I suppose; these had buck teeth.

I was just trying to figure out what the brand was. I thought I had been through them all in the past month or so. In my all too typical fashion, I had to research the subject to death beforehand.

I checked google for manufacturers and can't find it. Therefore, it may be a model name. The ones I've seen were circa 800 bucks for a double SOT. As it should be and rightfully so, regarding doing research. I can get anal about it myself, especially finding the best price.

I talked with my eldest grandaughter. She couldn't remember the name but did remind me that it was a sit inside tandem. That was dumb on my part; does it help?

Doesn't help a bit. The only kayak manufacturer I could find that came close was Spectrum and they're SOTs.

Has anyone used the Current Designs Kestrel Series Kayaks?

We are purchasing a tandem Kestrel170T and were thinking about adding a single Kestrel 140
We did purchase the Kestrel 140, back when I asked the question. We've liked both kayaks since then. Thinking of purchasing a third, so would have two singles but maybe something in the 16 to 17 ft. range. We are usually on small to medium lakes but also go to Lake Superior.

A friend was selling his Perception Acadia 12.5 and I was really interested but it won't fit in my SUV.
