Default Key/ignition issue

Of late we have been having difficulty inserting the key into the ignition of the S2000. Ignition lock cylinder issue ? Any ideas?

Have you tried a bit of graphite in the lock? For some reason, all the locks on the car seem to get that way and a bit of graphite makes them happy and "slippy" again.

Maybe the car is just saying 'screw it, it is just too cold to go anywhere'!

Yes, same issue with both keys. Once the key is in the ignition, it unlocks wheel, turns fine. Sometimes, it's taking a few attempts to get the key into the ignition. Obviously, not acceptable.

I thought your S was all wrapped up for winter Lainey. As far as the key I would guess that something got in the cylinder, doesn't take much so like others posted some graphite should clean it out.

No, Robb. The P car is covered. The S is now Rick's grocery getter/daily driver. It has all seasons for most of the year, so when the temps drop in the fall or it's rainy, we don't have to worry. It's got a set of smaller wheels and snow tires for the winter. It doesn't have to go out often in the winter, and we do have a Jeep. When we bought the P car, we knew four cars was one too many. Neither of us wanted to part with the S, so the Subaru WRX was sold. We are most practical senior citizens.

Sounds good Lainey, sometimes I miss living in the flatland. I know I would be driving my S later in the fall and earlier in the spring if I did. The other thing I miss is all the good restaurants!

We do have some good local restaurants. I had lunch out yesterday and today. I guess I should head to the "I'm fat" thread.
Today I had a shrimp florentine, Rick had baked fish. We took a little ride (in the S) to Plymouth, MA

Yeah I saw your post yesterday with the scallops and shrimp that got me to thinking how I miss the restaurants. They are all crazy expensive up here like the 94 lobster dinner place you and Rick went to.
