What a bummer! Still, he is a determined guy who heals fast. Interesting that Bruyneel expects him to recover in time to make the Tour...

 

I was more surprised by the fact that they think he can continue condition training while he recovers.
I know if I take a deep breath my shoulder heave, that's gotta hurt like hell.

 

I think that he is immune to pain, no really. With everything he has been through, I think that he is super-human with respect to pain tolerance.

I saw tonight that the injury was worse than they first thought.

 

He is hoping to compete in the Giro d'Italia in May. His bone was broken in several places and he must rest 72 hours before training again. I had a 3rd degree shoulder seperation in a bike fall and that pain was awful. I had to pedal 5 miles back to my car and I thought I was going to pass out. Remote area and no help around. Before cell phones.
