Default The Last Ship

I have been hooked on this show for a year or two. It probably would play well on Saturday at 11am since it clearly is written for kids but for some reason the show plays in prime time. I tape it and frankly enjoy it. Dah. Anyone else enjoy it? Or, some similar brain dead show..... ?

We were watching it. Rick more so than I. However, I think we are a bit behind in the episodes.

The show is better than the same old same old stuff.

We watched it until this year. When we switched to Direct, I forgot to set the timer. When I finally remembered, we were at episode 7 so we are waiting until they come around again to start watching this season.

I'm hooked .... of course being a 20 year career Navy Supply Corps Officer I enjoy watching and comparing with real life situations. My focus in the Navy was logistics and as such I view these shows and wonder about fuel, food, clean clothing and ammunition ........ storage spaces are limited yet the USS Nathan James (DDG-151) never seems to run out .....

Still ..... I look forward to 9PM Sunday night ... and if I'm running late TNT repeats the airing at 11PM......

Dropped it after the first three or four episodes. But I can definitely see how it would be addictive.

One of the MANY mysteries of the show ...... of course US 2 destroyers showed up a few weeks ago to help Nathan James locate Chinese 2 destroyers ... BUT they (the US) were sunk by Chinese shore missiles.....

........ and you need to "tune in" to the program to see what happened to the Chinese ships ..........

Speaking of ships (or boats), there is another great series on the Smithsonian Channel called Hell Below - about submarines and WWII. Very well done. The +1 (having been a sub captain) really liked it. Def worth watching. I learned a lot about WWII history, too.

I understand in WWII only one out of every four men serving on U-boats survived.
