Default Leasing Co. won't allow storage Ins.

My Leasing company won't allow me to put storage insurance on my S. They said that I need to keep full coverage on her all year. That seems pretty stupid to me .

Should I just buy some snow tires and have a little fun this winter. Has anyone up here ( north of Indy )ever driven their S thru the winter. Did you have many problems?

Thanks: Derf Refnook

Derf,
Full coverage if its parked with no plates is just comprenhsive. If its lease veh. and your not going to buy it, run it all winter. Put some blizak tires on and have a ball! You need to get you use out of it if its a rental. Heater and defroster work great.

I ran mine all winter last year here in Chicago. I bought a used set of OEM wheels and mounted Blizzak LM-22s from Tire Rack in the OEM size (Thanks Jim!!!), and had no tribble a'tall. Mine is my daily driver so I don't have anotheer vehicle to fall back on, and I bought the car with that intention.

I think the S makes a great winter car, but that's just my .02...

Xviper runs his all year round in CALGARY! I was in Calgary two weeks ago and there was already 3-4 inches of snow.

He runs Blizaks.

No way will I buy it , Might sell it at the end of the lease if she is worth more than the buyout ($14,100). Normally I get bored with my cars after a year or two. This one may last longer Not bored yet .

Tomcatt: Did you have any problems with snow building up in the wheel wells?

Funny how many other folks also make their S a 'keeper'

Mine is also a year-round daily driver, with Blizzaks and a coupla cinder blocks in the trunk There is little problem with wheel-well snow pack....just need to kick it out occasionally at the end of the day....

*nods* That I do; I was accounting for inflation (not of the tires).

I've not had any worse build-up than with any other car. I just kick it out at the end of the day, like Jerry. No weight in the trunk though, haven't had the need yet.
