Had a work issued Lenovo laptop on a four year lease and it operated trouble free. I did not use it a ton but it was flawless for the time I had it.

Far better than the IBM thinkpad disaster I had before that.

I've had a Lenovo T60 for the past 3 years. My only grips is that it's limited to 3GB RAM installed. I'm sure the newer ones don't have that limitation. Other than that, trouble free.

Well, there was the one time I drove over it, but that doesn't count.

Note: The screen did not survive. The case and hard drive did fine.

We have 4 here at work. One had a motherboard failure in the first month which was repaired under warranty. The turnaround was less than a week.

The others have been trouble free so far.

Haven't had a work laptop in a while. But back in my old job we used to have Lenovo's for all the marketing and sales guys. I've heard good things about them.

I had to make to do with a Dell laptop at that time.

No - a limitation of the BIOS, which presumably led to the physical limitation of what could be plugged in. One slot only would recognize 1GB, and the main slot 2GB.

Ken-

We used IBM/Lenovo laptops at work for years. I never had a problem, and from my peers in desktop management I don't think the fail/repair rate was anything out of the ordinary.

This is difficult. I am trying to get a mid-priced computer that has a decent battery life and enough power to stream 1080p. What a PIA, you have to try to balance the three criteria.......
