LOL moment

It was most likely a bite and possibly from a raccoon although I have neighbors here who say their cats have been attacked by owls. The vet said it definitely was not a snake. My cat was up on his rabies even though they gave him another rabies booster. He had multiple puncture wounds in his forehead, a large and deep one on the side of his nose and a broken nose. Even with the strongest and week-lasting antibiotic and surgery he really didn't have a chance. Of course I can say that now but on Wednesday night we hoped for the best.

So sorry for your loss Patty losing a pet is losing a family member.

Thank you so much, for your comforting posts, everyone. I don't even know some of your names. I sure took this post off topic.
I had an excellent weather day to ride my ElliptiGO and wanted to do 30 miles but crying and depression sure suck the life out of you. That was helped by your posts!
I posted Leo photos on Facebook, got my ElliptiGO tires aired and my tracks cleaned, and then slept. I at least took a shower and am outside, where I'm the happiest. My young cat, Atticus, is by my feet.
I think at our ages almost everyone here has lost pets so it's not at all unusual. Sympathy and kindness are always appreciated, especially by me.

Yes, you're right. Maybe the decision is based on how a person wants to live their own life? I have broken my left leg, snow skiing, multiple bones in my right foot, riding my off-road motorcycle, and my left arm, riding my ElliptiGO. I keep on doing things that risk my safety. I will probably do it as long as I'm able. I love being outside and need it to be happy.
I am VERY SORRY to learn about your loss of Leo. But, I believe that your response to a previous post is correct regarding living life and finding happiness.
Hugs & Stuff,
Matt

Patty - I know you don't watch much TV, but I like some of the vet shows. Dr Jeff on Animal Planet is good. He's in Denver and an interesting character. He works there but also travels around doing good deeds in poorer communities.
