Well..... looks like the car I want to test drive is not in town right now... none of the 6 dealers around have one....

Want to test drive the Hyundai Genesis coupe 2.0t w/ a manual tranny...

Quicker to 60 mph than the RSX-S... same gas mileage (or so they say)....

Just need to test drive one to see how it handles, shifts, feels....

It'll be:
1. 10 inches longer
2. 5.5 inches wider
3. 600 lbs heavier
4. 10 cubic feet more passenger room
5. .7 feet smaller turning radius
6. 0-60mph 6.0 secs, RSX-S was 6.6 secs

Would like to go with the 3.8 v-6... but the way they have them equiped... not sure I can get one with manual tranny, a/c and cruise control... and if I can... it will be $7k-$10k over the 2.0....

There was a wonderful story on NPR last week. A 92-year old woman gave up her driver's license, stating she could no longer see well enough to drive. That meant that she retired her 1964 Mercury Comet with 569,000 miles on the odometer because none of her relatives could be trusted to care for the car like she did. She mentioned buying shocks with a lifetime guarantee: they replaced those 3 times; exhaust with a lifetime guarantee: replaced something like 8 times; battery with a lifetime guarantee: replaced something like 12 times.

Go, Granny, go!

Hahahaha....... its not often that people keep cars long enough to take advantage of the "lifetime guarantee"!!!!

it was 60 minutes or similar that did a story on her a few years back.
She was incredibly retentive about following the manufacturer's maintenance schedule on the car.
She'd go out in the garage to watch and make sure the guy did the work.

Hey Mike,

There's a white one not tooooo far from the Dragon. Check out graysonhyundai.net. Take it for a Dragon run and see what it can really do!

I'm sure the salesman wouldn't mind you putting over 100 miles on the car for a test drive

You laugh but I was given a new Porsche Cayman to test drive - not only did I put 100+ on it, they were ok with me keeping it overnight.

What in God's name prompted you to look there?

I think I'll wait till a Cincy dealer has one to try.

Ha...It was a combination of me having just checked the extended weather forecast for 28733, plus shortly thereafter reading your post of local Genesis coupe shortages, plus thinking about driving the Dragon later this week. All that combined with the fact that I was pretty damn bored this morning
