Looking for pc chair recommendations

gee brick and mortar stores complain about show-rooming, coming in and looking at the product but then buying online.
I can't think of a better way to ensure that happens then offering free exchanges online but slamming them with a 50% re-stocking fee in person.
DUH!!!!!!

Well, I finally finalized my search for the perfect pc chair ‘for me’. We drove to Grand Rapides and I was able to check out numerous chairs in the $1,000 range, such as both Aeron and Embody by Herman Miller (including one listed at $1,800!); Liberty by Humanscale; Nucleus by HON; the Wit and Novo by SitOnIt (how’s that for a company name); and several others who’s name I don’t recall. So what did I get? I purchased the Leap chair by Steelcase. It was originally a $950 chair that I bought used for $280 from a local office furniture store that sells both new and used.
I found this be good link for reviews in one spot for many of the chairs on the market: https://www.smartfurniture.com/ Many of the top rated expensive chairs had numerous negative reviews, which was a bit surprising but we are all built differently.
Here’s a review on the newest Leap chair to give you some idea of the adjustments it provides. My chair is the earlier version but the nearly $700 savings makes mine especially comfortable. I'm sure they are out there but I could not find a single negative comment about the Leap chair.

When I was employed we purchased quite a few of Steelcase chairs. They were top of the line and lasted for years! Enjoy your new chair.

To be honest at the end of day 1, after spending most of it at the pc doing my son's taxes, I'm not so sure it's going to work out like I thought. Neither the seat or the arms will go as low as I would like them to. For anyone taller there would be no issue. The arthritis in my shoulders tonight is really talking to me. Stay tuned.

My office chair is now about 16 years old and starting to show it.
The hydraulic piston keeps sinking.

Since there are ten different adjustments I think this chair will require requires a lot of tweaking to get the perfect fit. I am hopeful that once I get it right it will be great! I just discovered a couple adjustment I didn't know about.

I think the Leap chair was a great chair but it just didn't work for me. I returned it today and got a full refund. I tried at least 20 or more chairs in the same office furniture store without success. I've tired low end, medium, and high end without finding the right one.
Some of the ones I've tried, along with my reviews:
HON Nucleus, $420 - Comfortable seat but that’s about it
SitOnit Novo, $470 - Armrests are hard rough plastic; like so many, and I dislike them
Herman Miller Sayl Chair, $510 - High ratings but not a good fit for me
Steelcase Leap, $942 - rated best office chair for commercial use; returned after 3 days; bad fit for me even with 10 adjustments
Herman Miller Aeron, $950+ - Benchmark for web designed chairs. Bad fit for me; frame digs into my legs, even in the widest size C.
Humanscale Liberty, $999 - Few ergonomic adjustments and too pricy
Herman Miller Embody, $1,460 - Best office chair if money is no object. Oddly it has several poor reviews about the lack of seat padding.
Some others I am aware of and will try if I can find them, along with review comments associated with them:
Alera Elusion, $151- Best budget
Office Star Air Grid, $176 - Best affordable
SomaComfort Chair, $542 - Best all around
Knoll ReGeneraton, $589 - Another best all around
Humanscale Diffrient World Chair, $769 - Best ergonomic
Steelcase Gesture, $983 - Good review, pricy
Interestingly I spoke with an office furniture designer in Ann Arbor who believes he can custom fit me with a chair from Office Master in California for under $500. I am really tempted. I am going to make an appointment to discuss it more. However, I know custom stuff can bite you in the ass. The wife has a $6,000 custom made saddle that has not worked out all, even after a couple adjustments, so she's stuck with it.
Maybe I should get back to the MG garage and spend less time on the Mac.

You could always use the Mac while sitting in the MG.
