I asked this on the Wash & Wax Wackos forum and did not get any response, yet. I'm sure there are some old fartz in Florida so I'm asking here.

As soon as possible, including at stops for gas. The longer they dry and bake (in the sun) on, the more damage they do and the harder they are to remove. HPH

Love bugs?

You have these stuck to your car? I guess I understand the reference to being baked, but I'm not sure what the rest of your question is about.

Actually with those lids over the headlamps, that bug looks mildly baked.
I'm with Mike, what the hell are love bugs?

Glad I'm not the only one. I could come up with a rather rude definition, if I had to, however.

I hate these things!

Jim, what Doc said. Also it's best to put a good wax job on the car before you encounter them.

You can spray "Pam" on your front bumper and they wash off easier.
They wont stick because of the oil.

Edit..... you can tell who lives in the south and who doesnt
