Luggage For Your S2000
I'm need some suggestions for soft/fitted luggage for the S2000. All we have now is the regular cheap hardside wheeled carry-on style, and it's due for replacement. Seeing as we intend to do road trips with the S, we want to get 2-3 pieces that will fit in the trunk of the S without crushing their contents.
Do any of you remember the fitted luggage supplied by the exotic car companies in the '50s-'70s? Ideally I'm thinking this would work best, but I'm open for other suggestions. The last thing I want is the cheap thin nylon or canvas duffelbag sort of thing; I also don't need the high-end leather that makes you afraid it'll get scratched or damaged, although I'm sure Gucci could come up with something for a price.

I think Rick was actually looking into fitted luggage, but nothing ever moved the idea into production! Probably too $$ for most people
If you just measure the well, you could survey a good luggage shop and find a near-perfect fit

Tom, I don't know if this will help but I got a pull type suitcase, soft-sided, at LL Bean. I got it to take on my S2000 trip to Colorado last summer. I bought it because it fits laying down in the hole in the trunk. I think you could get two, and lay one on top of the other. I'll get the page for you and post it.

OK, here's the LL Bean page. It comes in 4 colors and the medium size I bought costs $189.00. http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/se...log_num=QR31157
Edit: Go here, which is back one page, for the measurements. http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/se...p&catalog_id=QR

I bought a Travelpro soft bag...it holds alot of stuff and fits easily into the trunk. But if you need a fitted one or harder exterior, this is not for you.
