I have a great view of it outside the balcony, but the clouds keep interfering. Maybe they will break up enough for me to get a shot.

There's a 1 mile long walk in the desert in Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. tonight, lead by an astronomer. I think I'll hit it.

Well the good news is it was near total here. The bad news is my camera won't zoom enough for a decent shot. It's probably just as well; if the camera was up for it the photographer probably wouldn't.

I can tell you all that at one point the moon looked pretty much like the picture on a Moon Pie wrapper - same slanted smile.
