I have a great view of it outside the balcony, but the clouds keep interfering. Maybe they will break up enough for me to get a shot.

 

Eclipse at near totality about 7:00 PM

 

There's a 1 mile long walk in the desert in Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. tonight, lead by an astronomer. I think I'll hit it.

 

It IS visible there. Go for it, Patty. Take your camera and then look back for that link I gave you to register as an artist and sell your beautiful PHOTOGRAPHY!!!! Go for it, girlfriend. You can do it!!!!

 

No, Val it won't be. I don't know what it will be come to think of it. Maybe it'll just stay full here. No photos though.

 

of course now that the eclipse is over, we have crystal clear skys.

 

Well the good news is it was near total here. The bad news is my camera won't zoom enough for a decent shot. It's probably just as well; if the camera was up for it the photographer probably wouldn't.

I can tell you all that at one point the moon looked pretty much like the picture on a Moon Pie wrapper - same slanted smile.

 

Going to miss it here, bummer.
