Default Mid-Winter Gathering

I am sure by now at least a couple of folks are wondering WTH happened to Zippy and his long running (longest) annual meet. Well MWG will take on a new name for just this year. It will be the Late-Winter or Early-Spring Gathering.
I am scheduled for a knee replacement in a few weeks, so early Jan. might be a little overly optimistic for being up and around to that level. Please note, I intend to keep this tradition running, period.

We'll be there, whenever it is! Would not miss this for anything. Good luck with the knee replacement.

Thanks Gene, and we have to have you and Bea take the ferry over one day as well.

Ken, have you picked your replacement yet? Maybe you can start a thread? My next Daily Knee...

Anyway, best of luck with the procedure. Remember, once you have fully recovered, you will be very happy you had it done.

You know we'll be there (and might be bringing Paul and Misha with us). Best of luck with the replacement. Make sure you get the warranty and the money back guarantee.

I picked the driver, he picked the car. The surgeon uses the Zimmer Persona. I am sure you are correct, I'll be happy when it is done. Thanks

Thanks for the heads-up Dave. I actually investigated the surgeon and the Zimmer appliance. The problem that was encountered was only with the NexGen device without cement. It is a very serious issue for those folks. I spoke with the surgeon yesterday and he assured me that he would not be using that particular unit. He uses a cemented one that he has seen no issues with himself, nor in the industry. The ortho is rated as one of the twenty best in the US for knee replacement.

Again, thanks for the heads up, it's always good to be careful, I am hoping that this will last the rest of my life.
