I'd need a separate truck to move all my models...

All these 1/24ths above were built from either plastic or metal kits.

Die casts above have a special meaning to me.

These little guys don't take up much space. At one time I planned to hang them all on a Christmas tree.

Overflow went out in the garage.... most are die casts.

At one time I had a real exclusive MG collection, which I sold, and in turn bought a used car for my daughter! These are a few I've since picked up without really looking.

IMO cars are the hardest then planes. I'll see if I can dredge up some pics when I get home.

OK, Dave...I am overwhelmingly impressed with your model collection, but what's the story on all those Buckhorn Beer cases?

Very, very sturdy 12 pack cardboard containers that made an excellent storage box for my MG spare parts. And the beer wasn't too bad either. Those were all collected nearly 40 years ago! They all have a numbering system in the upper right hand corner. And being a compulsive organizer I only have to look at my inventory sheet to tell you this is what you will find in #11 (for example):

11 - FRONT SUSPENSION
New Ft suspension bushings – require reaming to install, along with new steel bearing tubes
New swivel link rubber seals
New Ft suspension rebound stopper
Ft shocks (2) good
Ft wheel hub bearings & spacers
Hub grease retainer springs (2), 1 missing rubber
Engine mounts, 1 missing rubber

If you were that organized at work, I'm sure you drove everyone crazy!

Here's a Trumpeter E25 I was piddling on in early 2015, however the modelling stopped... again.

the gray blobs are dried pools of liquid primer that act as a filling medium

as you can see, there are "fit" issues

It would be nice if this site offered the option to pick a size but I can't complain how easy it is to post a picture. Tank looks good - get back to work!

I don't know why I missed this thread. Great models everyone!
Kudos to Windhund for terrific diaramas.

Yes this A7E does bring back memories; that is my squadron: VA147! If it was number 410 it would have my name on it.

During the 1984/1985 time period, that (my) squadron was unique in stripping off 3 of the six stations. One middle on one wing, and 2 inboard and outboard on the other. The decrease in drag meant we could fly without the 2000lb drop tank (on model here) and still have the same fuel on the ball (on final at the ship) as brand X squadron who had one. This arrangement still allowed us to carry every type of ordnance and gear that was designated for the A7E. Plus it made us faster and could dogfight better.
