More Spring Fling Photos!
#12
Here are some more photos, from the Californian (i.e. airplane) and rental car (last in the pack) point of view. Andy and I flew from Burbank Airport (clear and 80's) to Denver, (recent snow), and then to Baltimore (recent sprinkles).
Lake Powell is above.
This is the Grand Canyon.
I have never seen a Ferrari up close before so I looked, a lot. We followed Keith most of the drive on Saturday, as the last car. It was fun listening to the things people said, as the entire line of S2000s and then a Ferrari went by. We may have been in the dog, Chrysler Sebring convertible but the drive was still very scenic, and A LOT of fun.

This was a familiar sight for us, just a quick view of the Ferrari.
We thought we were lost but we ended up continuing down the same road after this stop.
The first potty break of the drive.

Notice the unloved step-child in the rear. It has to be the worst handling car I've EVER driven, but at least it was a convertible.
An Sunday, Andy and I didn't want to risk being late to the airport so we followed the signs to Inner Harbor in Baltimore. We didn't get lost once, which was an accomplishment after our many wrong turns to make our arrival at the Holiday Inn on Friday night. We first went to the Hard Rock Cafe and had a couple of Mexican Coffees each. Then we went in the Aquarium. We had easy, on time flights home, first to Denver and then back to Burbank. We got home to Acton at about 11 PM Sunday night. After partying in Carmen's room Friday night, and partying outside Saturday night, and getting home late Sunday night, I'm whooped. Andy and I both had great times. I'm so glad I got to meet you all and your partners. The greenery was special since we are desert rats. Next time we come, and we will, I'll be sure to get something a little more fun to drive.

Great pics, Patty! And I'm still amazed that you and Andy came all the way from CA for this event...

Me too, but so glad you did. Really enjoyed talking to you at dinner and all other times. Next time maybe I'll be able to convince you to drive my car. Glad you made it home safe. Until next time.

It was so good meeting evryone, I'm really sorry I couldn't stay for the "full treatment". My shots, as usual, are not as good as the rest but WTH, here they are.
