Vanity lights have been shipped, so the only thing I don't have yet is the corner basket for the shower.

[QUOTE=MsPerky,Aug 11 2008, 07:11 PM] Electrical for overhead light and vanity lights went in today. Also switches.

I f you haven't already .. you might want to invest in a 60 minute timer for the vent/fan vs. an on/off switch. That way you have to remember to turn off the fan when you are finished showering .... They are pretty cheap .....

Ooohhh...getting exciting now - drywall!! First one is the new plumbing in the shower and getting rid of the old - the bottom part. That will be finished today. The guest bath water for the whole tier of condos (18 of them) has to be shut off, but Dave says his work will only take about 15 minutes. So not too bad for the other owners. This guy really knows his stuff!

I often wonder why during new construction a shut off valve isn't installed to isolate and turn off/on the bathroon water supply ..... This would make changing out tub and shower fixtures alot easier than turing off the entire house or in your case the 18 other residences .... hopefully 15 minutes is all you will need ...... and then don't forget the "air" in the system when everyone turns on their faucets when the water is turned back on ....

Looking good

It was only about 15 minutes. There is a shutoff valve for the shower. The only reason the whole tier had to be shut off temporarily was because new controls were installed with a new shutoff. The old control was removed.

Plywood base for the shower went in yesterday. Think he's going to put in a metal liner today. Anywho, whatever goes under the shower floor tile. Coming along nicely! More pics to follow...already have mosaic tile for the shower floor. Rest of tile being delivered next week in prep for that part to start 8/25. Chrome basket came in yesterday, so I have everything except for the shower doors, vanity, vanity mirror, and toilet, which will be delivered Sept 5. Whole thing should be done the week of Sept 8. Then it's party time!

Party in the bathroom? Does this mean we get to "pee in the shower"?

Well, the bath probably isn't big enough for a party - more than two, anyway. I do want to have an open house in Oct to celebrate all the renovations and whatever else we feel like celebrating!

Rest of drywall went in today. Concrete for shower base being poured tomorrow, so it will have lots of time to dry before tile is laid, starting 8/25. Dave off next week. Will post pics when I can get the gallery to work - again. Very fickle loading images.
