Wow....just caught up with this thread, and also hope that all is well with Ken and Nancy.

We will be away in AZ during Feb, but hoping for a March date for MWG #20 in 2020. Or should I say MSG #20 ????

When we moved there, we were not in any flight paths, but they have been rerouting occasionally. Sound on the ground (spooling up for take-off) has become an issue on Sundays.

I can relate to that! We live about eight miles SE of Dulles Airport (IAD) and when the "heavy" planes take off (especially on run way 30 we can hear them. Being an aviation geek i will often get on my Plane Finder app to see where they are headed. It is amazing to me how far the ER (Extended Range) model planes can fly.

FWIIW: In the next year or so Quantas plans non-stop service from JFK to Sydney. They have already done some test flights with minimal passengers, mostly journalist to test out the food menu which is designed to match the slept and awake patterns of the passengers on this twenty hour flight.
