No, Guy, I didn't. I never go to any Ford dealers. Is it worth a special trip?

Honestly, I don't even know what a GT is. I'll keep it in mind, for my next Lancaster trip.

I am over your statement. But, then again I guess this may be a "guy thing".
I think that it is SO COOL that Ford brought this car out. I just wish I could afford one. I remember when Ford assaulted and insulted Ferarri back in the mid sixties, witht the pinacle being the One-two-three sweep of the 24 Hours of LeMans in 1966. I remember it well that when ABC Wide World of Sports covered the 64 race, they chartered a helicopter as a camera platform on Saturday. It could not keep up with the Ford GT 40 on the Mulsanne Straight (the longest straight-away in motor racing). On Sunday they had chartered a personal jet for this mission.
If you surf around this site their is track video.

^^^^ If only I could afford one! I remember that quite a while ago that Car & Driver did a road test of a street legal version of the the "REAL DEAL". Some guy in FL had brought up the two or three remaining spare rolling chasis and made a street legal version.
If I remember correctly the road test went something like this:
First gear: Zero to 76 MPH.
Second gear: 76 to 122 MPH
Third gear: 122 to 176 MPH
Four gear 176 to 212 MPH
