Ken, I am so sorry to her of your loss. Pets become members of the family, and entwine themselves into our hearts. Hopefully you can take comfort knowing that you made the right decision for her.
We will be facing this in the not too distant future with our golden retriever. Chester is (we think) about 12 years old, which is very senior for a golden. He's starting to have problems getting around, and the last year or so has seen him slow down dramatically.
Needless to say we are preparing ourselves for the day he will leave us.

Dear Friends,
Thankyou all so much for your kind words. My God, you guys are like an encounter group. Thankyou, thankyou and thankyou again for your kind words from the heart. Did I remember to say thankyou? Very Sincerely, -Ken

Ken,
I'd say, "You're welcome", but it wasn't any favor. I understand your pain and it's my pleasure to help, if possible.
Sincerly, Patty
