Stay safe, Mike and family! We may see some rain on Monday...nothing to worry about here.

Nate came and went and we slept through most of it.
We were fortunate in that the storm was relatively mild, moved quickly, and made landfall east of us, exposing us to the less severe western quadrant. We didn't even lose power. So in that sense and for us personally, a squirrel was more impactfull than a hurricane. (See post #9 if you don't get that.) Around the area damage seems to have been confined to the beach where a number of piers took a pounding. Highway 90 along the beach is pretty much off limits for now pending clean up of a lot of sand and debris. Otherwise life is returning pretty much to normal.
Thanks for your good wishes. Now it;s time to return the focus of our concern to Puerto Rico, Houston, and south Florida.

Thanks, Val. All the credit goes to you and other members of the Vintage forum. I'm sure their good wishes pushed the storm at least 10 miles east, where it would do less harm to Long Beach.
