Last week I was surfing around and was looking at the web site for one of our local news channels and ran across this story.

A local retirement community has some residents that even though they had planned fairly well for their retirement find themselves living longer than they expected and are running out of money. A group of women in the community were inspired by the movie "Calendar Girls" and decided to do their own fund raiser for the "Greenspring Benevolent Fund" to help out those in their community that need some assistance.

NOT. I have an MGA calendar for 2007 and I have car's on two of the twelve months. . . . . . and even I don't even look at it. It was neat for about two seconds.

 

I just knew that it was a matter of time before someone would bring this up.

Hmmm, Canberra, Yep2, Kyras, KGF, are all good photographers with their digital SLR's. Now all we need to do is have an event and gather in Room 314 and "spike the punch"

 

Um, I've learned from some of the more fun ladies on this board and I was NOT thinking only of having cars

I had a list going up to about June And I could even submit a photo for the cause... (Not of me! Maybe next year)

 

I volunteer to work on a 2009 calendar - proceeds could benefit a cause or go towards a vintage meet group rate discount. Will need some photographers to volunteer, that's not my forte (with one notable exception that I would have to ask before I could publish)

I put together a calendar of all Honda cars (new and old) for 2008 which was fun. I'll find and post the link later if anyone is interested... I'm having a mini spa vacation this weekend, lots of time to do whatever I want
