Default Need help finding a Ridgeline

Hi all. I'm trying to find a Ridgeline again. I got rid of the one that some of you saw me in at some past meets last November to free up some money to pay off some old debt, so my new fiance and I could build some new debt .

Well, the 2000 Acura 3.2TL that has served me so well since is now going to my step-father, whose 2000 Pontiac Bonneville was hit in a movie theater parking lot a few days ago by a 17 year old kid carrying about the same speed that most of you were carrying coming out of turn 2 at Beaverun. He hit it hard on the passenger side rear and pushed it into the car next to it, destroying the other side. Granted the car was worth a sack of moldy spongecake to begin with, but the insurance adjuster quickly deemed the car unsafe for human use (at which point I jumped in it and drove it an hour and fifteen minutes to look at a used Ridgeline, while my step-father took my car for a jaunt to see if he really liked it. boy, the looks I got from some of the Pennsyltuckian inbreds as I drove past them in that smashed, smoking and squealing piece of American garbage were priceless). The point being is, I want and need a Ridgeline again.

Anyways, Ridgelines are scarce around these parts as the country boys here mostly buy Fords, Chevys and Dodges (to see who spends the most on upkeep, I suppose), so used ones are even more scarce. What I'm asking is if you see one in your area and are willing to check it out for me, knowing full well that I am one anal-retentive pain in the tuckus, and can vouch for it putting your good name on the line, I would greatly appreciate it. I am willing to drive a great distance for the right vehicle, I just can't afford the drive if it turns out to be wrong.

My only requirements are black, unabused and under $17,000. Options and miles don't mean much, either on the low or high side. I'll make it how I want if the base product is solid.

I wouldn't ask if there weren't so few around here. If you can help, thanks. If not, I hope you enjoyed the post .

Take care all.

Phil.

Phil, I can't help you until maybe next month. There is no Honda dealer here in Durango, and no Ridgelines in sight.

Good luck on your quest!

I'll check with the used lot of my dealer on Monday for you, Phil.

Phil, a quick search this morning on Autotrader.com found this Grey one (sorry not black) in Butler Pa. It's in your price range.

Phil,

I think I saw one at Joyce Honda in Denvill, NJ a week or so ago. This is one town over from where I live. I'm not sure if they still have it. You might want to give them a call at 973-361-3000.

I'm going to pass by today and see if I see it, but they're closed on Sundays and im might not be out front. Also, I've got a friendly relationship with them so if they have it I'll go over and take a look for you.

This from their website about 5 minutes ago:

Phil,

I will keep my open for one. If all else fails your post was very entertaining.

P.S. Happy to learn that your Step-Father was not hurt inside the theater by the way you described the impact. To me that sounds like an awful lot of damage for a six MPH impact.
