Need Pit Crew
My S is going to run the mile on Oct 11. Before it does that it's going to the Bay Bottom Crawl in Key West and watch Coral Doc run & party Duval St.
Mile run
Being as I think I'm the first to do it around here, I'm also declaring myself the fastest S2000 in Fl.
The gauntlet has been thrown (Hi Raymo)

I need volunteers. People who know and respect the finer points of pitting.
The pit crews primary responsibility is holding the bar up.
Their secondary responsibility is holding the bar up.
There are several establishments in Key West that need such assistance.
Only other thing they need to do if so disposed is keep their hook baited. Key West is a drinking town with a fishing problem.
I'm limited to 147 right now with my street play setup. I'm going switch pumpkins and go to a stock dif for the run. I'll probably only run it once or twice, I'm just very curious as to how fast I can get it to go.
The Bay Bottom Crawl is really an autox holy grail.
It's the oldest autox in the world. It's a fast course and nothing puts a little temper in your twisties than a wall of red mangroves and a foot or two of smelly salt water all around you. Spectators can't see any of the racing, you just stand around and let the mosquitoes bite. That's what the fishing rods are for.
444 rocks.

Grant, your posts continue to inform and entertain.
Wish I could make it down but between my current travels to Orlando, and my tentative plans to make DBR (I hope) and a rallyx event in baton rouge with Rob, looks like my dance card is pretty full already. Sure wish I could help with those pit duties. We Mississippians never back down from such a challange when it comes to helping our friends.

Roadster Rampage in the Florida Keys!
The 44th edition of the Bay Bottom Crawl in Key West was staged by the host, Ecurie Vitesse Sports Car Club, over another brace of sun drenched and steamy days on Sugarloaf Key, just up US 1 from Key West. A record seven FFRs turned out to be shared amongst nine drivers on the weekend of October 11th and 12th, 2003. By Saturday morning the Loop Road had been closed by the good citizens of Monroe County, the volunteers from the Monroe County Fire Department and Police were on hand to help control and feed us, the usual suspects, with up to 38 years of individual attendance, along with a bunch of newcomers, were primed and ready to experience the unique combination of high speed, hard acceleration and devilish handling problems that are the Bay Bottom Crawl.
