Thumbs up Need some technical help

Hope one of you guys can help me.

I have a Bose Home Entertainment system and when pressing the settings button on the remote control, the settings are displayed on the TV and from there you can set/change various settings by scrolling up and down and enter.

I was probably 'button happy' as I was clicking and scrolling up and down and now the settings are not being displayed on the TV anymore. In addition, I lost the DVD signal to the TV.

It was working before I was "button happy", I just want to set the "Video black level" and the brightness.

What in the heck did I do?

Normally I can figure things out, I'm the one in this household, that connects radio's, TVs, VCRs, sets up a home network, etc.

I bet it's something simple... anyone knows if I can reset this system to its default? Unplugging the power is not doing it.

I went to the Bose website, but nothing about how to get your settings back to display on the screen and most of all my DVD signal.

Thank you guys in advance.

Peggy

Peggy,

I haven't got a clue except to suggest that you might try calling the Bose store in one of your local malls. They should be able to help you.

Rob, that is good idea... thank you. I wasn't even thinking going to a Bose store.
I just sent an email to the Bose Tech support.

Is there a menu item or button that says OSD or On Screen Display. If so push that. Also look to see if there is an "output" buttom, which might allow you to change the video outputs that are being fed.
No such button as OSD... I wish..

There is one button on the remote control that says: "Settings". When pushing that button it will display settings on the LCD screen on the equipment itself.
I can scroll down to the Display Settings (enter), Play options (enter), Audio settings (enter), etc. however when scroll down it says: "STATUS: SEE TV" and I cannot or don't have an option to change that.

Everything was working fine, before I touched the settings on the remote control. Cables nor output settings were change. It must have something to do with the "Status: See TV."

It wish there was a reset button, cold boot didn't work.

Anyway thanks for replying, I appreciate.

Did you do anything to the TV settings, is it still set to the same input on the TV itself?

Didn't touch the TV nor the Bose equipment , just trying to change the color setting/ Display settings using the remote control.

Bose Lifestyle 28/35 Home theater (2002). The online manual/trouble shooting guide is not different than the hard copy that came with it.

For the time being I connected a DVD player to the Bose equipment, so we can at least watch movies till I figured it out to get the display settings and signal back.
Most likely going to stop by the Bose store; hopefully they can tell/show me...it should a couple of 'simple' clicks and selections on the remote..

Thank you all... I appreciate your responses and suggestions.
