Default The New Legal Mobile

Just signed the papers for a 2006 330i in Electric Red! I haven't had a red car in about 3 years and I was getting depressed. I should pick it up in about 2 days.

I started the day with my list of cars for the final test drive. I went to the Infiniti dealers first. The first dealer was aweful. The second one was great. The car was ok, but it does have a bit of a heavy feel to it, and road noise really intrudes, especially over irregular pavement. The power was good but not spectacular. I almost made an offer, but I had about 6 other cars to go see. Then I went to the BMW dealer, saw the red car and got very interested. Test drove it and just said "what am I doing?" and negotiated a deal. I think I saved about $1,000 by buying a red car off the lot. Red is not a popular color for BMWs. I hope I can figure out how to post pics. I should have it in the next couple of days.

Update for the curious, I got the Premium Package, Sport Package and Cold Weather Package. I also got Satellite radio prep. This is what the car came with, but I wanted all three packages.

Bill,

Congratulations. Good luck with it.

Looks like this in Electric Red when you click on the red square color swatch

Congrats, Bill!! Not sure I've even seen a red BMW - at least a recent one.

Congratulations Bill. Keep us posted, let us know how you like the new Legalmobile as time passes.

I've never owned a BMW but I've heard great things. Enjoy. Use it well.

Congrats. I know you have been debating this for some time. I want to test drive a bunch of cars on the same day as well. I like back-to-back tests when I can do it. The problem is everything I like is a hour or more away, so it will take some planning. Certainly BMW is king-of-hill based on the accounts I have ever read and it continues to be.
