I'd consider it for a reasonable price if I reallllly, reallly liked the way it handled and looked, but I'd have to get top dollar for my '06.

Geez, you guys don't read the 'assumptions'. It's just a philosophical question and related to price/ value
Nope, I didn't assume anything - I said I saw zero value in that car....

I'd only consider voting if the choices included "wing delete" "hideous seats" delete.

Oh - in that case I wouldn't pay more than 28.5 which means I probably wouldn't get one anyway.

I wouldn't pay to trade my 06 for the 2008 CR. What they've done to the new model doesn't suit my taste.

Now, IF Honda came out with an entirely new model of the S, a little more power, a little more creature comfort, a little more updated technology then, I'd be willing to pay more.

I think Honda is capable of building a cutting edge sports car below 40K. If they did, I'd have to consider it. (provided they do it before I'm too old to drive one)

That's my issue now, getting too old. Maybe one more sports car in my future, but probably not since I talk myself out of everything.

OK, let's say Honda comes out with some really impressive improvements for 2008.....some of the S2000 CR goodies but more creature comforts for us folks Maybe more power and updated 'classic' exterior design
This was NOT intended as a vote related to the S2000 CR....except for a frame of reference. Above is where I intended the reference.....

Jerry,

I don't think you realize how difficult your question is to answer. How can anybody speculate on how much they'd be willing to spend on an improved verison of a car without knowing what the improvements are?

I think you'd have gotten much better answers, answers more to your liking, if you would have been more specific in detailing what you thought the improvments would be.

That said, my answer to your question is that I wouldn't be willing to spend anything. I'm really happy with my '02. It suits my needs, satisfies me, and doesn't need to be replaced. Newer and more features don't necessarily make it better. I'll keep my '02.

To be fair, I thought we pretty much have the entire list of changes? Aero effects, no softtop, improved suspension, cloth seats, different wheels, hardtop standard, no A/C or radio, a few other things.
