Not on my bucket list but it was fun

My glider story was on a golf course,
He looked awfully low to be trying to find an updraft.
When I turned around again he was 10 ft off the ground and coming up the fairway.
He stopped about 15 ft from the green.
The last 100 feet of his taxi-ing was a big rut in the fairway,

Dave,
Sail Planes are COOL! Happy to learn that you enjoyed the ride.
I have flown one once and been aerobatic in a Grob S-2 Sail Plane out of Dillingham Field on the NW corner on Oahu, Hawaii on several other occasions. Like Gene stated: The sound of the wind is very cool.
One of the coolest experiences that I have had in the air was there several years ago. On an aerobatic flight the pilot pulled us up into an inside loop. At the top we did a split S and came down in an outside loop and leveled off at 3,600 feet. We were just off the coast of Dillingham Field and the pilot said: "Look at two o'clock. There we were inverted looking up at the ocean watching two Hump Back whales swimming east about a half a mile off shore.
