Fish can eavesdrop on the calls of dolphins to avoid getting eaten, a new study suggests.

It's not surprising to me that eighty percent of the dolphins' diet is sound producing fish. Dolphins are very adept at processing sound, thanks in part to their melons.
That some sound producing fish have adapted/evolved in response to this type of predation pressure isn't surprising either. There's a constant predator-prey "arms race" taking place.

Not that anyone would make a mistake on porpoise, mind you.

What are those big toadfish eyes for? You'd think they could use those neurons better in their sound receptors!
