We make something similar here in Georgia using sweet potatoes instead of pumpkin. Sometimes we mix a little shredded coconut in it.

As long as I can remember +1 has cut up real pumpkins. Last night she was cutting up bread for her own stuffing. None of that store bought stuff for us.

note !. pumpkin pie filling has a much higher viscosity than it appears.
note 2. on a kitchenaid mixer, the controls are push away goes slower/stop
note 3. pulling towards you results in much higher beater speed than slow speed.
note 4 pumpkin batter has remarkable velocity and range leaving the mixing bowl at high speed.

Another one of your posts that make me lol for real, Jerry.

Same thing happened to me when I worked at Round Table pizza except it was an industrial mixer and flour makes a REALLY big mess when you have the mixer set for six instead of three.

Opps.

Took me about an hour to clean up.

well this was a kitchenaid which is mechanically similar to those old Hobart commercial jobs so yeah the effect is similar too.

and no zip while I love to cook but no chef for me.
My grandmother was a chef, that' s hard work
I learned most of what I know from her.
One of these days I've got to get the hat though.
