Travelling down south a lot I always saw boiled peanuts sold on the streets by vendors, never seen or tasted them but people must like them down there. Anyone here eat boiled peanuts ?

 

Southern son-in-law thinks they are great. Definitely an acquired taste.

 

Oh my, they don't sound appealing to me, but people must like them enough in the South.

 

My wife loves 'em. I don't care for them at all. Don't even like the smell.

 

Define 'em. Do you mean that you don't like any nuts? I'm glad your wife likes nuts.

As far as the smell, I would think that they smell terrible , can't imagine them smelling good, lol

Cashews are my favorite, pistachios are second. I try to limit my intake as too many adds a lot of calories.

 

I can smell mixed nuts and peanuts pretty well. They have a pretty distinct smell to me But I also can smell the trash getting smelly from outside the house before I walk in the front door when no one else can from right next to it. I can also smell peoples breath from about 10 feet way (which sucks a lot of the time!), which I assume is not normal... so I guess I DO have an acute sense of smell :P
