Man, HUGE is an understatement! Well, at least it's hard to get seasick.

For Gary (Skunkworks .... did you work at Lockheed?) --- I finally got my RRS ballhead quick release mount for the Manfrotto. This thing is awesome! Very small, lightweight, and strong!

Yes I did Wind, worked for Lockheed/Martin for several years, from satellite surveillance programing, managing an IT Department, and then into retirement.

RSS ball heads are of very good quality. I’m certain you’ll be pleased with your purchase. Does yours have the dual drop notches?

Thanks, Gary. Just a single notch drop.

From the balcony again...this time near sunset. Always interesting cloud things going on, especially when t-storms are around.

Hey, Deb...which river are you cruising?

Gene, I watched a "How It's Made" episode the other day...about that very ship. Pretty impressive. It may be a long walk from stem to stern but I bet it rode well.

My wife and I are considering Myrtle Beach. Looks like you had a nice condo. Where did you stay?

North Myrtle Beach is the place to be! Trust me, you do not want to be in Downtown Myrtle Beach to save a few bucks. It's OK to visit, but I would not stay there.

If you want to go downtown, which we did, we were only about 10 minutes away. Ocean Creek is across from Barefoot Landing (plenty of shops and restaurants) . You are also about 10 minutes away from Broadway at the Beach, more shops and restaurants and "attractions" The beach was great where we were. We felt far removed from all the commercial "stuff" that is in these areas now. We were about 1/2 hour away from Murrells Inlet where my sisters live and there are a few things to check out in that area as well.

Message me if you want more info. The owner of the condo unit we stayed in has another two bedroom condo and a three bedroom one as well. We spent less per day than we did on a hotel room the last time we went to that area. The condo is equipped with everything you need/want.
