Default Oh, The shame, the horror

my beautiful bride and I have been on staycation the last week. ( celebrating 36 years of wedded bliss )
Nothing exciting mostly getting in some golf.
On Wednesday for the first time she finally beat me straight up but only by two strokes from appropriate tee boxes i.e. her at forward tees and me at back tees.
Pfft! one off fluke....
and then we golfed early this morning.
8 strokes. I'm starting to think talking her into those lessons was a bad idea.
truth be known while she had a good round I really was awful.
Time to go have a chat with the pro.

Go, wife! I forgot her name. Please tell her, "Nicely done!" from me.

I would love for Mrs. GM3 to take up golf again seriously. She enjoyed it until she took lessons. Put the clubs away after that.

When you hit 65 you are eligible to play from the senior tees. If no senior tees then you should be playing from the forward tees. That should tighten things up again, competition wise.

If anyone gives you a hard time you invoke the reason for this...speeding up play. That will always shut the critics up. Being against "speeding up play" is like being against kittens or world peace.

Patty, My better half is Barbara.
Lessons can be tough. You really have to look at the long run.

I'm actually delighted she's playing better. In her case the lessons have been a god send.
So much is tied to the instructor. If you get an idiot, it's not likely to end well.
Folks will track a good coach across the country.
