But if anyone knows where I can find a NOS front carpet in Rose Wine Red please let me know.
Civic's are the same way my cousin had an old one and needed some parts and I figured no problem and I was wrong. One place you may want to try is majestic honda I've seen people mention it here I think it is the one in Lincoln R.I.

That's the way to do it you have the best of both worlds an older car to wrench on and when it breaks down you can jump into the Honda and drive.

Thanks, Jim. One problem I've had is finding a carpet that isn't faded or badly worn, especially on the driver's side. The rear section I found was still in the Honda packaging but I haven't installed it because it will make the front carpet I have now look pink.
If you do check, note that mine is a hatchback. Pretty sure it uses a different front carpet kit vs. the sedan.

I've used Majestic for quite a few parts on newer Honda's I have owned. But trust me, Honda dealer parts departments just don't have many parts for a first generation Accord. Most of what they still have are just fasteners, clamps, filters, and such. Places like Auto Zone and Rock Auto are great for rebuilt alternators and spark plugs but you won't find struts or OEM exhaust parts or brackets or body panels for the 1G Accord there. Fortunately there is decent support for most wear parts like hoses, belts, wheel bearings, brake pads, etc. I probably shouldn't complain. Not like this is an old Ferrari or like I'm trying to find parts for an old Citroen.

Better hurry with the inspection. Ohio just closed all of the BMV offices except 5 that do CDL licencing.
