That's a novel idea. My previous Dr. always told me Oh I'm sure it's covered and then I get a huge bill and then she tells me just talk to billing I'm sure they can clear it up. Of course when I talk to billing they say you are not covered you have to pay it.

When my husband has had an expensive elective procedure, the doctor ran it through the insurance first to see about the coverage.

Initially, it was denied, which the doctor expected. However, the doctor appealed it, submitted additional information, and then the insurance approved full coverage.

That way, there were no unpleasant surprises.

I've never been billed for a medical procedure lol , but then again we have to wait months to get anything done

I did have to pay $100 for the ambulance ride to the hospital when I crashed my motorcycle though, adding insult to injury lol

When I had the accident with the WRX the ambulance bill was $750 and we went less than a mile.
For some reason here in America they don't just send you one bill when you have a medical procedure there are always multiple bills and some are even duplicate bills they make it as confusing as possible. Many times I have gotten bills and figure I'm all paid up and then months later I will get another bill.

I know the guy that owns the ambulance company and he said he is constantly getting called for people overdosing and they revive them and more often than not they don't get paid by the person and this has been going on for years and it is often the same people over and over so costs get passed on.
My previous 17 WRX got rear ended by a woman going about 45-50 while I was stopped.

On the plus side I did find out that the WRX is a safe car. The trunk area took all the energy of the impact and it was a hard hit it spun the car around and I broke the driver's seat.
