Wink Open wheeled racing

F1 this morning and Indycar this afternoon.

Congratulations to all the faithful Ferrari fans, I think they did a great job by deciding to stop their 2009 program in favor of early development of the 2010 car. Bad luck again for Vettel. Schumacher said he had good fun but admits it was all rather boring. That sums up my thoughts of the first race as well, since there was no passing. I expected Button to do better; even he admitted he was too cautious about tire wear.

Great to see the other open wheel series back on the same day. Indycar had a little bit of everything - sun, rain, rough pavement, tight walls, long straights, great competition, great strategy, and lots of passing. I must say I enjoyed it way more...........

I just caught the last few laps of the F1 race this am. That was winning with room to spare. Do you think Michael Schumacher will return to his former domiance or just be another also ran?

I would never count Schumacher out. I believe he is the smartest on the track real time racer I've ever seen. I doubt that he has lost that ability by sitting out 3 years.

I'm a big F1 fan, glad to see it back. Also enjoy IRL, certainly more action that F1 but something about F1. Blame it on the grid girls.

Looks like S2KI members are going to be doing the driver\VIP parade at Birmingham AL. GP next month. I think I saw one or two Vintage Badges in the list. ( see Meets & Events section ) I am thinking about going for the race on Sunday. It's only 1.5hr. from me.
