They should have named it the Melanoma meter, you have to watch that sun exposure!

I like it too

Mini used to have an "agreement" form when you bought the Vert model, I agree to have top down at least 50% of the time, or something silly like that

If I wasn't a Honda geek that's probably what I would have.

A fun meter would make more sense.

Let's see...Do I really need a gauge to tell me if the top's down? Wouldn't the sun on my face give me some indication of that? Maybe the fact there's not this black fabric six inches above my eyes would make it pretty clear the top's up.

The incline meter makes more sense if you know there's a limit to the incline the car can manage.

For offroad vehicles especially, an inclinometer is a good idea (I'd want two, actually, for both pitch and roll).

My Subaru has a stupidometer disguised as a "MPG" meter, sitting there on the dash cluster taking up valuable space that would be better used for oil temperature or something. Dumb, dumb, dumb. HPH

Vacuum guages are cheaper and simpler than oil pressure guages.

Although, chances are the subie gets its MPG as digital data from the ecu.

Hypermilers, especially those with hybrid cars like the Prius, are heavily dependent on MPG gauges so they can drive with as high a mileage as possible.

I don't know how accurate the MPG gauges are in the Subaru, as compared with those in the Prius.

Well, mine could as well be a boost gauge, if it were calibrated differently, I expect. It's really pretty useless, though. HPH

It's a brag-o-meter. "My top has been down for 14,000 hours..."
