Default Oscars 2016

We never go to the movie theater. The last new movie I saw at a theater was Rush because we'd met F1's James Hunt and were within arm's reach of Niki Lauda back in 1976. That movie came out in 2013. I honestly can't remember what might have been the theater movie before that one. So we certainly won't be on pins and needles to see who wins.

But we will probably watch some - the wife likes to check out the gowns, I like checking out what's in them, and I'm wondering how Mr Rock will deal with the race issue, plus I like to make some notes on movies I might want to watch when they reach the free status on tv, and finally there's nothing on but repeats on the other channels, even Downton Abbey.

He started off really good, I thought. But, after that......

BTW, I realized I actually saw one of the movies. One night I dropped $5 with Comcast and saw The Martian.

Chris Rock started out ok but now many of the jokes are pretty lame.

I thought Chris Rock was great. And he stayed that way through the show. The bit about Suge Knight and the Girl Scout cookies made me laugh out loud. I didn't watch the whole show. I taped it and fast forwarded through a lot of it. There were other bits related to the diversity issue that were really funny.
