Our Skip in action
Skip and Janet are two of the absolutely most wonderful people on the planet. I'm glad he had a good time and came home with his PrincesS in one piece.
He kept it off of the tires, that's good. Looks like the nose took a little scrape though through the dirt. I didn't take pictures of my off road adventure last season. Needed to have the sub frame straightened, the radiator and aftercooler moved back, new front bumper and AC recharged. Expensive shift that I hope I learned from.
Thanks, Darlene.
First time on that track... very well-suited for an S2000.
The facility as a whole is quite nice, too. I'll be back there at the end of March. I'm hoping it'll be a little warmer than this go-round.
gomarlins, sorry to hear your off was more of a wreck.
I had an off that resulted in damage in '04. As you stated, it was a learning experience. Off's are part of the learning experience if you're pushing it.
grannyrod, Janet and I still have a very vivid mental picture of that cool, drizzly May afternoon. Wish it'd never had happened, however, it could've been far worse.

Great pictures! It takes skill to recover like that.
Once I got into the marbles at the end of a sharp turn at the Texas World Speedway track and did two or three donut swirls out into grass. It was exhilarating -- but no tire barriers close by. The field was muddy, so I was black flagged in for a quick look see and then got waved back on. I've often wondered what it would be like to try Drifting...
gomarlins3 , are the subframes on these cars easy to straighten back out acceptably? Does your S still track properly?

Darn You guys, VAL! Short course or long course? I've only done it on a motorcycle. Great track, long straightaway, and a hairy back section before the near the end. I'd love to do it in the S. Watch Turn 1, too. I'll be there in August for the AMA, again.
Nice to see others track their rides!
It's not really about how fast you are compared to others. It's about improving your own skills in a safe environment.
RC, we ran the full course- 3.27 miles. I'll be there again March 30-April 1.
