No. Not if you mean regular and premium priced the same. I don't recall ever seeing that in my lifetime.
I guess there's always a first. This is the first time that I ever saw it. 87, 89, and 93 all the same price.

Just filled up the Jeep, because I needed to. Local gas station was no busier than it usually is on a Friday. I did hear the owner tell someone it's up .18. Not sure if he means elsewhere in the country or if that's what he expects with the next load.

Interesting.

On the way home this afternoon, none of the gas stations along the route were any busier than usual.

I imagine, however, that there will be news stories of these lines elsewhere. So I'm curious to see if the panic buying spreads to stations here tomorrow.

If so, I think placing blame on the media may well be justified. HPH

Drove past the same station I referred to earlier and it is up .50. WTF?

Do you mean to tell me the supply has dried up that much already that we have to raise gas .50???????? Isn't this what the national reserve is for? Gouging, plain and simple. Any yet, we Americans just don't get it. Nothing will change.

One of you alteranative energy experts weigh in on this. If we took all the gazzillions we spend squating in the middle east and supporting regimes we hate, all to protect our "national interests" (i.e. oil), couldn't we develop alternatives in like 5 minutes with all that money?

An idea probably. A solution probably not.

It's going to take years we've already squandered.

Have not seen any panic buying per se, people are filling up in anticipation of a major power outage ( which I'm hearing could be for up 10 days in the Houston area) which would disable service stations till they get power back up.
The Price of fuel has gone up about .4 cents since yesterday.
