Password manager programs or apps
Hi. If you use or are familiar with password management programs or apps, please let us know which one you recommend.
To the extent you need to know how I would use it in order to make a recommendation, this would be for someone who has passwords for work, e-mail, financial institutions, service providers, social web sites, on-line shopping web sites, and electronic devices. Some of these change from time to time, I often forget the ones I use infrequently, and for many I am using either the same password or one that is very similar. I'd like to change them so they are all different, "strong", and irrelevant to anything in my life that someone with a lot of time on their hands and mischief in their hearts might be able to figure out. Also, I would like to be able to use the program on both my lap top and my phone, which are both Apple products. Also, I would want something that is super simple to use and intuitive for someone who is highly confident that the people who write software for Microsoft own live chickens because everyone knows that is the best place to store eggs.
I am familiar with the practice of writing passwords on a piece of paper or a word document and putting the piece of paper in my desk drawer or saving the word document on my computer, so no need to offer those options.
Thanks for your time and patience.

At work I have a fingerprint reader on my keyboard and a single-sign-on application that logs me into pretty much all my applications. Great, until I have to change a password. Then its a bit fiddly. Not really a home-user product, though. Requires installation of a fairly expensive appliance.
I use StickyPassword, and like it.
I keep all passwords only stored locally, not in the cloud, and don't use it on my phone, so I can't vouch for those features. It supposedly can store passwords in the cloud and sync across devices. Don't know, I don't like the idea of my passwords leaving my PC. Call me paranoid.
I also occasionally export them all to XML format so I can back them up, especially since I use their password generator, which makes passwords pretty much un-rememberable and almost un-typeable - i.e. "^ij98Y%689yrlL0"

I use Keepass.....
Doesn't update the database between platforms....
But all you have to do is email the database file to your email address, and then d/l it to your phone, ipad/ipod/i?/laptop/pc/etc!
Piece of cake!
