Videotaping the other coaches signals is also a "total violation of the rules". ...
I don't think it is Martha. As I understand the rule, you can videotape the other team's coaches from an enclosed location that is not accessible to your own coaching staff. The violation really does seem to be technical in nature. I think the biggest problem is that Football sent all the coaches a reminder of this rule about 3 or 4 weeks before the first game. The league had no choice but to come down hard to make its point.

I must say that none of my bar buddies, most of which are sports freaks, don't understand what all the fuss is about. They say it goes on in high school games even.

I guess I must have been in a coma for the last 50 years. A lie is no longer a lie unless somebody get hurt. Cheating is no longer cheating if everybody does it. Stealing is no longer stealing unless you have a bad lawyer. And, I thought it was weird that it wasn't rape in the Muslim world unless it was witnessed by three adult males. Times they are a changing. Did I miss something along the way?

Those cheatin' SOBs did it again. There's a rumor that the Patriots are using a Defense Department satellite guidance system to control Brady's arm when it's in passing motion.

What's the rule book say about that technology?
Don't worry. I'm sure the league will find some reason to fine another Pats player $5000 this week.

One thing you've got to admit is that Patriots are few notches above the rest. There is no team in the NFL that can beat Patriots as I see it now. After putting on a clinic for the Cowboys, they demolished Dolphins yesterday. It seemed they could have easily scored 100 points if they really wanted to. There is no stopping Patriots now that I can see. By the way, I am a Cowboys fan but I must say the Patriots are without peer at this point. They'll simply wait until coronation next year. Go Cowboys!
