Default Photobucket

I have put many photos on Photobucket, then copied them to S2Ki or wherever. But I have discovered something I don't like. I can no longer print them on my printer or save them elsewhere. It appears Photobucket has become a paying site, which I missed somehow. Now in order to print my photos, I have to pay them! Anytime I try to print or do anything with a photo, the photo is surrounded by the verbiage on the Photobucket page. There is no way to isolate the photo. It is also distorted if I try to save it back to the PC. I tried that last night with a photo I could not find the original for. I am not happy about this development. Anyone found a way around the issue?

Deb, I noticed the same thing. I now use Photobucket as an easy way to post photos on S2ki, but I always keep copies of all my photos on my SD cards from the camera.

Yeah, I have most of them on the PC, but I could not locate one, so that is how I found out. Grrrr...

Wow, I didn't know that. Thanks for the warning. I have only used Photobucket to put pics to post here. I use Shutterfly and Snapfish to store online but also have backup hard drives at home.

Did you originally upload a full size resolution? You can still right click and save as. I just tried it and it did work, view the pic in the full size posted on photo bucket, not the small one in your library. The pic isn't distorted, and for the heck of it I printed a copy on plain paper. I generally upload re-sized images, so would not expect to print a large copy.

I'm still not a paying member, haven't had any issues. My pics are also on my PC and a back up drive.

PS to Amazon Prime members, they are now offering photo storage if that is of interest to anyone.

Try This.

1.Open your Photobucket library

2. Double click on the picture you want.

3. After it opens there are options shown at the top of the screen.

4. The icon two to the left of "Previous" is "Download Media"

5. Click on that icon and the picture will download to the default download folder on your computer.

6.Open that file using whatever program you use to view and print pictures. I use Photoshop.

I just tried Paul's method; very easy on the Mac.

Double clicked on picture.
Clicked on media icon on menu.
Picture pops to my screen in full size to print if I wish.

I tried it and the photo comes up elongated (wide from side to side, narrow top to bottom). I've seen that before with other photos. Any idea how to correct it? Lainey - when I double click on the photo, then right click, it doesn't give me any save options.
