Photobucket vs Flickr vs ?
To upload a picture (or more) to Photobucket I first have to drag them to my desktop, then drag them into Photobucket, then copy the image to insert here. That works ok.
But, if I go to the same album to view the pictures in a larger format, they sometimes take forever to load and I just quit.
What I really love is what happened today. I went to rearrange an album. They list options as oldest, newest, etc. and I selected Sort Manually. So I'm dragging pictures around and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, so I keep dragging. Finally, get what I want and click Done. All looks good. I decide I want to delete one picture. After I do this the entire album is totally unarranged again.
And I wasted an entire hour.

Yeah, why do you have to drag them to your desktop? You click Upload (making sure you have the correct photobucket library selected) and then browse the folder where your photos are stored. You can choose one or more to upload.
As a workaround to Photobucket’s slowness…I’ll now edit the photos with newly acquired software prior to uploading; it will be much faster I'm certain. When I begin the pre-upload editing process I may become a happy camper once again.
I’m not aware of any Photoshop viewing problems while using my ISP’s servers. A DNS server may have some issues though.

The quick answer is No. It used to work that way. To tell you the truth I am not sure why it will no longer accept a picture directly but since that process works fine for emails, I presume it has something to do with the handoff between the Mac and Photobucket.

Why do you have to drag the pic to you desktop? Can't you just open a picture file/folder of some sort on your Mac.
I'm still a picasa holdout. I continue to refuse their update to Google+, so I still have the old interface and not their facebook competition look.
Uploading is easy from the website directly, or with the desktop tool to help manage directories.
If I want to post something here, I just click on the image online, and there's a share link that has the image URL in it. I post it with the IMAGE button and done.
I did set up one folder as my online stuff and set that to public. I just have to drop the photo in there. There used to be a way to send a photo via email. Haven't used it in a while, not sure if its still working or not.
Unfortunately, I believe that if you're not an existing picasa user, you are now forced into google+ for photos. So, maybe not as helpful as this could have been.
