Default Photobucket vs Flickr vs ?

Every time I use Photobucket I find it really frustrating to use. Looking at a friends stuff on Flickr has me ready to switch but I thought I would ask for suggestions here first.

What do you like?

I’ve become frustrated with Photobucket because it is extremely slow. I haven’t used Flickr for some time, so I can’t testify to its speed. I believe that Photobucket’s editing tools are on par with Flickr, but Flickr offers more fun stuff, such as text balloons and sticky images, plus it offers better social media links.

I’m in the process of looking for a faster photo storage site. I’ll pay for one if I need to.

I mean it strictly from a sharing standpoint. Say if he were to upload some images of his car or family to share with you guys here in the Vintage forum.

Photobucket is notorious for not being able to be seen by others. It is blocked by most isp's for one reason or another.

Flickr (imo) is not very user friendly for trying share images with others either.

I have accounts with all 3 & have left both Flickr & Photobucket behind.

i don't do a lot of photo hosting but have found photobucket to be ok.
I do love imgur but for an entirely different reason. it's just funny as hell.

^ Yeah, photobucket works fine for me. But I'm not on social media where I'm posting lots of photos all the time. My usage is limited.

I only post pics two places. Here and on FB. Posting pics on FB is direct from the PC or phone. Using photobucket here requires the upload of the pic, then copy the image to insert here. I've not had issue with viewing pics posted by others from photobucket, but we have no IT dept at work to block them.

I also have a Flickr account, have rarely used it. I just got use to using photobucket. Any editing is done before the pic is uploaded.

To upload a picture (or more) to Photobucket I first have to drag them to my desktop, then drag them into Photobucket, then copy the image to insert here. That works ok.

But, if I go to the same album to view the pictures in a larger format, they sometimes take forever to load and I just quit.

What I really love is what happened today. I went to rearrange an album. They list options as oldest, newest, etc. and I selected Sort Manually. So I'm dragging pictures around and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, so I keep dragging. Finally, get what I want and click Done. All looks good. I decide I want to delete one picture. After I do this the entire album is totally unarranged again. And I wasted an entire hour.

I've not had any problems sharing photos through Flickr. The interface can be a bit of a pain to get used to in some aspects, but setting photos to public view during uploading isn't hard.
